Please be advised there is a limit of 2 machines per customer at a time.

If you want us to refurbish your ZX Spectrum, simply buy one of these "items" and we'll get back to you with instructions on what to do next. Before long it'll be back with you like new!
Average turnaround takes 4-6 weeks but we appreciate your patience at busy times.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

  • Enabling composite AV output for TV - improved video quality with no need for tuning (Suitable TV lead will be supplied). If you prefer connecting the Spectrum via RF let us know and we'll keep the display original.
  • Replacement of all electrolytic capacitors with high quality blue Vishay caps to retain the original look of the motherboard
  • Fitting heatsink onto the ULA to prolong the life of the Spectrum (Please note the ULA socket will be removed and the chip will be soldered down directly to the motherboard to allow sufficient room for the heatsink inside the case)
  • Complete case disassembly and thorough cleaning of the rubber mat, faceplate and the case
  • Replacing rubber feet if missing or damaged
  • Cleaning the Edge Connector and ensuring compatibility with divMMC Future.

  • The Refurbished Speccy will be covered by our 1 Year Warranty.

    Following upgrades can be added to the final invoice upon request:

    Fitting brand new keyboard membrane - Add £9.99
    Recommended even if the present membrane is working (exceptions apply)

    Fitting brand new front panel reproduction - Add £19.99
    Recommended on "well loved" Spectrums

    Voltage regulator replaced with modern DC converter enabling low power consumption with no need for the metal heatsink = less heat inside the Spectrum - Add £9.99
    Recommended on Issue 2 boards

    32K RAM upgrade (Applies to 16K Spectrums Issue 2 and above only) Add £29.99

    Repainting of the white 'ZX Spectrum' text if faded - FREE, Just ask us!

    Please ensure the Spectrum you send to us is in fully working order. If it's not, please see our Repair Service!

    INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE
    THE SHIPPING COSTS OF YOUR SPECTRUM BACK TO YOU WILL BE REVISED IN THE FINAL INVOICE.
