Commodore Amiga A4000 Repair with Hybrid caps

Commodore Amiga A4000 Repair with Hybrid caps
We can now repair most "big box" Amiga problems! Drop us a line and we'll tell you if we can probably fix your beloved Miggy - and if we can't, all we ask is postage costs back to you.

We can also recap the A4000 with "Hybrid Polymer" capacitors. These ultra-long-life, super-reliable capacitors are the best for your Amiga but are also substantially more expensive than normal SMT electrolytics, so this is offered as an option for the Amiga 4000.

Please note that this is a base cost and owing to the complexity of these boards there may be small extra charges if the repair is particularly complex, though the maximum cost is only likely to be £99.99 + parts + postage costs.

Please note we don't currently offer cosmetic refurbishments for Commodore computers.

Important things to bear in mind when sending us your computer:

  • Take care when packaging your computer. Ensure the contents are well protected and the parcel is secured. Parcels can be treated roughly on their journey - we are not able to replace items damaged or lost during transit. It's always best to assume the courier will be playing footie with your parcel and wrap accordingly.
  • We ask that if at all possible, computers to be sent NOT in their original packaging. We have 50+ computers in our workshop at any one time and keeping their original boxes isn't practical due to space shortage (we work from home).
  • If you feel confident opening the computer, sending us the motherboard only is preferred. This will not only keep the postage costs low but you will avoid the risk of having the case damaged during transit. Please also send the internal floppy drive as this is included in the recap/repair service.
  • Last but not least: Always remember to include your name on or inside the parcel. Not being able to identify a machine can present a problem as we often have several identical computers in our workshop at a time.

    INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE
THE SHIPPING COSTS OF YOUR AMIGA BACK TO YOU WILL BE REVISED IN THE FINAL INVOICE.
